Profile
Andrei Zerebecky and Lukasz Kos co-founded FOUR O NINE in 2011. Zerebecky and Kos bring together a sensibility that explores the boundaries of the prosaic and poetic. In a very short period of time, Andrei and Lukasz have garnered substantial successes in China. They have completed their first built project, a storefront for a contemporary furniture store. Their first line of furniture products has been chosen to participate in the "Futures" exhibit at 100% Design Shanghai 2011, and will be featured in ELLE Magazine's online furniture store.
Their work has been recognized internationally by renowned design publishers Thames Hudson and Lawrence King (London), Gestalten (Berlin), Braun (Switzerland), as well as Architectural Record (New York), among many others. Giorgio Armani selected Kos' 4treehouse as one of his 100 drops of joy for the Aqua Di Ggioia promotional campaign. As well as publications, Zerebecky and Kos have been recognized on television: on "World's Most Extreme Homes" for the work of the 4treehouse in Muskoka and "Opening Soon" for the design and construction of Trevor Kitchen and Bar in Toronto. The complete list of international recognition spans globally from North & South America to Europe and Asia.
The work of Zerebecky and Kos has been exhibited in Canada, Germany and China. Both are graduates, from the University of Toronto's faculty of Architecture, Landscape and Design, and studied in Los Angeles, Rome, Krakow and Amsterdam. After earning their Master of Architecture degrees they worked in international architecture and design offices, including Frank Gehry and Bruce Mau. They lived at 409 Dovercourt Rd. Toronto.
